I've had the strangest dreams

I'm not normally one to dwell on my dreams. I guess that might actually have to do with the fact that I don't usually remember them! But I've been having some quite odd dreams lately, well one in particular about parenting.
The dream basically starts with me minding my son in the dark who is now crawling and getting close to walking on his own. About 10 minutes later I lose "touch" with him and can't find him in the dark again. It's rather frightening and at this point in time I usually wake up in a frantic state wondering where he is and then remembering he's asleep in his cot, What's worse is that I usually feel like I've been dreaming awake (ie dreaming that I've actually been awake in the bedroom where our son sleeps).
Not quite sure what it means....
Any ideas?
